Armenian PM to Receive €25,000 Peace Prize

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will travel to Germany on September 18 to receive the Hessian Peace Prize.

Pashinyan is scheduled to receive the award during a ceremony at the parliament of the German state of Hesse in Wiesbaden, according to Sputnik Armenia.

The Hessian Peace Prize will be presented to the Armenian prime minister in recognition of his “efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus” and his work toward closer ties with the European Union.

The prize comes with a monetary award of €25,000.

The ceremony in Wiesbaden is expected to highlight Armenia’s recent diplomatic efforts in the South Caucasus and its growing engagement with the European Union.
