Fuel Tanker Crashes Into Container Train in Armenia, Damaging Rail Infrastructure

A fuel tanker collided with a container train in Armenia, causing damage to railway infrastructure but leaving no injuries.

The incident occurred at 11:55 (GMT+4) at the Dalarik station in western Armenia, as reported by the South Caucasus Railway operator, The Caspian Post reports via 168.am.

According to the company, the tanker struck a container train, damaging the overhead contact line and a locomotive. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, and it remains unclear whether train schedules will be disrupted.

No passengers or railway workers were injured in the collision. Emergency crews were deployed to the scene to evaluate the situation and begin repair work.

Railway officials are now investigating the cause of the crash and assessing potential disruptions to rail traffic along the affected route.
