PM: Armenia Seeks Japanese Investments

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has emphasized Armenia’s strong interest in attracting Japanese investments.

The comments were made during a meeting with his Japanese counterpart, Shigeru Ishiba, in Tokyo, The Caspian Post reports via the Japanese Foreign Ministry’s website.

Pashinyan highlighted that Armenia is ready to inject new momentum into bilateral cooperation and announced plans to organize an Armenian-Japanese business forum in the near future. The forum aims to expand trade and economic ties and attract foreign investment to Armenia.

The Armenian prime minister also underlined the importance of collaboration in areas including disaster prevention, human resource development, infrastructure projects, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Ishiba stated that Japan is eager to pursue joint initiatives with Armenia and expressed hope that the recently established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan will provide a foundation for long-term stability in the region.
