Security Incident Involving PM Leads to 3 Arrests in Armenia

The police officers in Armenia have detained three individuals following an incident involving Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The suspects were taken into custody on charges related to hooliganism and interference in the lawful official and political activities of a public official, The Caspian Post reports via Armenian media.

The incident reportedly occurred on March 29 during a church service at the Saint Anna Church in Yerevan, where Pashinyan was attending a liturgy for Palm Sunday alongside allies.

As the prime minister was exiting the church, one individual voiced dissatisfaction and addressed security personnel, while another attempted to strike the prime minister. Security officers intervened and prevented the attempt, escorting the individual away from the scene.
