Azerbaijan and Türkiye Discuss Future Collaboration in Social Services Sector

Anar Aliyev, Azerbaijan's Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, held a joint working dinner with Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, who is in Baku to attend the 2nd Meeting of Ministers and Heads of Institutions in Charge of Family Affairs and Social Policy of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

The sides emphasized that relations between the two countries have been elevated to the level of strategic alliance through the joint efforts of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. They also noted that bilateral cooperation continues to expand in all areas, including the social sector, The Caspian Post reports citing Azertac.

The discussions also covered the progress achieved on the Action Plan for 2024-2025 to implement the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and Türkiye’s Ministry of Family and Social Services.

They exchanged views on preparing a new Action Plan for the upcoming years, taking into account the intensification of cooperation and the successful continuation of joint activities, as well as prospects for future collaboration.
