Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Developments with Uzbek Counterpart

On June 16, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, had a telephone conversation with his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtiyor Saidov, according to the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Caspian Post reports.

The ministers discussed the regional security situation arising from the recent Iran-Israel confrontation, issues stemming from the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, as well as preparations for the upcoming Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) scheduled to be held in Istanbul on June 21-22.
