Construction has started on the fourth residential complex in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar, which will feature 26 buildings and house 807 families.
The announcement came during a media tour following the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The new complex will cover an area of approximately 10 hectares and include 807 apartments: 128 one-bedroom, 304 two-bedroom, 293 three-bedroom, and 82 four-bedroom units. All buildings will be four stories high, with commercial and service facilities planned on the first floor.
Residents will also benefit from sports courts, bicycle lanes, recreational areas, gazebos, and playgrounds for children. The complex will be equipped with continuous water and electricity supply, high-speed internet, and plans call for extensive green zones to enhance the living environment.
The foundation-laying ceremony for the complex took place on August 21, attended by President Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, marking a significant step in the region’s residential development and infrastructure expansion.
