Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Holds Key Meetings in Doha

During his visit to Doha, Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General, Kamran Aliyev, held several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from various countries and international organizations.

He met with Attorney General of the State of Qatar Issa bin Saad Al Nuaimi, who emphasized that the strong cooperation between the prosecutorial authorities reflects the friendly relations established between the political leaderships of the two countries. Al Nuaimi also expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended during his previous visit to Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.

Kamran Aliyev also met with Hamad bin Nasser Al-Misnad, President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority of Qatar, congratulating him on his election as Chairman of the Eleventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption. He underscored the growing cooperation between Azerbaijani and Qatari authorities.

Additionally, Prosecutor General Aliyev held discussions with John Brandolino, Acting Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, focusing on joint projects and strengthening cooperation between the offices.

Other bilateral meetings included talks with Amin Hossein Rahimi, Iran’s Minister of Justice; Linas Pernavas, Director of Lithuania’s Special Investigation Service; Lino Anguzu, Director of Public Prosecutions of Uganda; and Alexandru Machidon, Prosecutor General of Moldova.
