Azerbaijan, Spain to Resume Political Talks in Upcoming Consultation Round

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has announced that a new round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Spain is set to take place in the near future.

The preparations are underway in Baku for the upcoming talks, which will continue the political dialogue launched between the two countries’ foreign ministries in 2024, The Caspian Post informs per the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Azerbaijan and Spain maintain friendly diplomatic relations, with both countries emphasizing cooperation in political, economic, and cultural spheres. Diplomatic ties were established in 1992, shortly after Azerbaijan gained independence. Since then, the two countries have developed strong bilateral relations, focusing on trade, investment, energy, tourism, and educational exchanges. Spain has supported Azerbaijan’s initiatives in international organizations, while Azerbaijan has sought to strengthen economic and cultural links with Spain.
