Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan held the multinational joint special forces exercise “Eternal Brotherhood - V.”
During the exercise, Azerbaijani servicemen demonstrated a high level of combat readiness and professionalism, The Caspian Post reports, citing the country's Defense Ministry.
The exercise aimed to strengthen regional security and stability, as well as military cooperation among the participating countries. Particular attention was given to exchanging experience between the special forces units of the brotherly nations and improving interoperability in planning and carrying out joint operations.
Under the exercise scenario, the participating forces conducted operations in mountainous terrain and populated areas, carried out infiltration missions behind simulated enemy lines, and performed reconnaissance and search operations. They also seized key facilities, liberated hostages as part of counter-terrorism operations, and protected strategic sites.
The participants additionally conducted daytime and nighttime firing drills using small arms of various calibres, sniper rifles and specialized equipment.
Commander of the Azerbaijan Special Forces, Major General Alakbar Jahangirov, observed the final stage of the exercise alongside its leadership and highly praised the skills and level of preparedness demonstrated by Azerbaijani special forces personnel.
Following the exercise, several military personnel who distinguished themselves while carrying out assigned tasks received awards. The event concluded with a commemorative group photograph.
