Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov departed for an official visit to Russia on July 16, where he is set to hold high-level talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov.
The two foreign ministers will meet in Moscow on July 17 for bilateral discussions expected to focus on key issues of Azerbaijan-Russia relations, regional developments, and areas of mutual cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Azerbaijan and Russia maintain broad bilateral ties encompassing trade, energy, transportation, security, and humanitarian cooperation. Russia is one of Azerbaijan's major trading partners, while both countries work together on regional connectivity initiatives, including the International North-South Transport Corridor.
