Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Arrives in Geneva for 151st Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly

An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Sahiba Gafarova has arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

At Geneva International Airport, Gafarova was welcomed by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Switzerland Fuad Isgandarov, the country’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva Galib Israfilov, and other officials, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Azerbaijani parliament’s Press and Public Relations Department.

As part of her visit, Gafarova will address the 151st IPU Assembly and hold bilateral meetings with the heads of parliamentary delegations from various member states to discuss issues of mutual interest and inter-parliamentary cooperation.
