Georgia's Batumi Becomes Hub for European Athletics Development Talks

The European Athletics Association (EAA) Congress has been held this week in Batumi, Georgia, with discussions focusing on advancing the development of athletics across Europe.

Javid Gurbanov, President of the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, Maharram Sultanzade, Secretary General of the federation, and athletics specialist Brendon Isakov attended the event, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

During the event, participants held meetings with leaders of federations affiliated with the EAA and exchanged views on various agenda items.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation among national federations.

The congress provided a platform for dialogue on strategic initiatives, upcoming competitions, and programs aimed at nurturing athletic talent and enhancing the sport’s overall growth on the continent.
