The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has welcomed Azerbaijan's adoption of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025-2028 and the approval of the Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development for 2026-2028, according to the Turkistan Declaration adopted following the informal OTS summit today.
The signatories also welcomed the entry into force in 2026 of the digital codes of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, the adoption in Uzbekistan of the Artificial Intelligence Technology Development Strategy through 2030, as well as Türkiye's efforts to develop a new post-2026 vision in the field of artificial intelligence with broad stakeholder participation and the establishment of the Cybersecurity Directorate of the Republic of Türkiye, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
The leaders of the Turkic states regard these initiatives as a significant contribution to advancing the digital transformation of OTS member states and improving their digital regulation systems.
"We highly appreciate the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Center and the Artificial Intelligence Academy, as well as high-performance computing infrastructure in the Republic of Azerbaijan. We support the further development and implementation of the Turkic large language model and related artificial intelligence tools initiated by the Republic of Türkiye," the document states.
The leaders also highly praised the introduction in Azerbaijan of the first AI-based legal education platform and the development of the country's first national large language model.
