Like U.S. President Donald Trump, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev is MAGA when it comes to energy, specifically oil and gas.

President Aliyev wants to 'Make Azerbaijan Great Again' and has partnered up with the U.S. to grow and strengthen his country's energy footprint in the region, The Caspian Post reports via Big Energy News.

During the 4th Annual Shusha Global Media Forum, President Aliyev outlined the recent $8 billion plus energy deal that his country had struck with the U.S.

Th energy infrastructure deal with Azerbaijan appears to be the tip of the spear for President Trump Make America Great Again (MAGA) initiative of making the country energy dominant.

In response to President Aliyev's partnership with the U.S., Congressman Byron Donalds, who is running to be governor of Florida, praised 'Trump's leadership" and move to "strengthen American industry."

"This is what it looks like when America is respected on the world stage after four brutal years under Biden. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, we’re forging new partnerships to supercharge our energy dominance and strengthen American industry," stated Rep. Donalds in a statement to Big Energy News.
