S&P Forecasts GDP Growth for Azerbaijan Through 2028

S&P Global Ratings has forecast Azerbaijan's GDP growth to reach 1.8% by the end of 2025.

The credit ratings agency expects the country’s GDP growth to slightly slow to 1.7% in 2026, then accelerate to 2% in 2027 and 2.1% in 2028, The Caspian Post reports, citing Report news agency.

Over the period from 2025 to 2028, Azerbaijan’s average annual GDP growth is expected to be 1.9%.

In terms of nominal GDP, Azerbaijan is projected to reach 130.4 billion manats in 2025, with this figure increasing to 137.1 billion manats in 2026, 144.6 billion manats in 2027, and 152.3 billion manats by 2028.

For reference, the exchange rate is $1 = 1.7 manats.
