Turkish President Heads to Azerbaijan for Turkic States Summit

On Tuesday, Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan departed for Azerbaijan to attend the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which is being held in the northern Azerbaijani city of Gabala.

Erdogan left Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport at 9.15 am (0615GMT) aboard the presidential aircraft, The Caspian Post reports citing Turkish media.

The summit, hosted by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, will bring together leaders of Turkic nations under the theme of Regional Peace and Security.
