Ukrainian Leader Accuses Russia of Striking Azerbaijani Oil Facility in Odesa

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of deliberately targeting oil infrastructure in Odesa owned by the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

Zelenskyy called the attack a deliberate strike on Ukraine’s energy independence and bilateral relations with Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post informs via the Ukrainian leader’s message on Facebook.

He added that the Russian military has stepped up attacks on Ukraine ahead of planned talks with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

Describing the strikes as “demonstrative and cynical,” Zelenskyy said, “Everyone seeks dignified peace and true security. And at this very moment, the Russians are attacking Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, the Sumy region, and Odesa, destroying residential buildings and our civilian infrastructure.”
