Berlin Commends Azerbaijan's Shipment of Oil Products to Armenia

Niklas Wagner, Director for Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia at the German Federal Foreign Office, has commended the dispatch of another shipment of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia.

“Yesterday, another shipment of petroleum made its way from Azerbaijan to Armenia - the second delivery in less than a month. It's encouraging to see important steps being taken toward normalization of trade relations in the region,” Wagner said on X, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

On Friday, the second batch, totaling 2,698 tons of petroleum, including 1,742 tons of AI-95 motor fuel, and 956 tons of diesel fuel, loaded into 48 railway wagons, were dispatched from the Bilajari station to Armenia.

The first batch of petroleum, delivered on December 18, included 1,220 tons of AI-95 motor fuel.
