Central Asia, Azerbaijan Agree to Boost Industrial Cooperation and Investment Partnerships

At the inaugural session of the Council of Ministers of Trade and Investment of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, participants have agreed to expand industrial collaboration, advance joint manufacturing projects, and adopt innovative investment partnership mechanisms.

The commitments were formalized in a joint communiqué following discussions in Tashkent, attended by trade and investment ministers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, along with Kyrgyz diplomatic representatives, The Caspian Post informs per Kazakh media.

Officials highlighted the need to streamline customs and border procedures, harmonize transport and logistics infrastructure, and create industrial hubs that integrate production value chains across the region. Focus was placed on industrial cooperation, joint development of raw materials and technologies, and boosting exports of high-value products.

Meanwhile, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries plus Azerbaijan rose 10 per cent in the first nine months of 2025, reaching $5.5 billion, underscoring the growing economic integration in the region.
