Brent crude prices climbed above $101 per barrel during trading on September 9.
As of 13:38 GMT, November Brent futures on the ICE exchange were trading at $101.04 per barrel at the session’s high, marking a 3.37% increase from the previous close, The Caspian Post reports, citing Investing.com.
Brent had last traded at this level on July 24.
By 14:10 GMT, Brent had eased to $100.76 per barrel, still up 2.90%.
Meanwhile, WTI crude futures for delivery the following month rose to $95.76 per barrel, gaining 2.93%.
