Google Gemini Adds Uzbek Language to AI Platform

Google has introduced Uzbek language support on its Gemini artificial intelligence platform, a move officials say will greatly enhance the development of Uzbekistan’s digital technologies and AI ecosystem.

The update enables local specialists, entrepreneurs, and the general public to access and utilize advanced AI solutions in their native language, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

According to the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the announcement was made during the panel session “Leadership in the age of artificial intelligence: strategy and innovation”, held in Tashkent. Marina Zhunich, Director for Public Policy and Government Affairs for Emerging Markets at Google, who took part in the discussions, confirmed that the Google Gemini platform now supports the Uzbek language. Officials emphasized that this development marks an important milestone for Uzbekistan’s digital transformation, expanding access to AI tools for professionals and everyday users alike.

The event also featured broad discussions on Uzbekistan’s digital transformation efforts, global trends in artificial intelligence, and expanding international cooperation in the sector.
