Officials from Iran and Tajikistan have emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, and infrastructure sectors.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Dushanbe Invest-2025 International Investment Forum, Iran’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Ali Madanizadeh, underscored Tehran’s commitment to strengthening ties with Tajikistan, particularly in trade and economic relations, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.
Iran’s economy minister stressed the importance of brotherly relations and close cooperation between the two countries, noting that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has always placed special emphasis on expanding relations with the neighboring Tajikistan in all fields.
Madanizadeh seized this opportunity to express his thanks to the principled and courageous stance of Tajik government in condemning attacks of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran and considered it as a sign of a deep understanding of sensitive conditions in the region and necessity of supporting lasting stability and security.
Turning to the relations between Iran and Tajikistan, he pointed out that the relations between the two countries have registered a significant growth, especially in the recent year.
Turning to the conditions paved after the US-Israeli aggressions against Iran, he noted that activation of snapback mechanism and intensification of sanctions have paved suitable ways for developing and deepening relations between the two countries.
The two countries have high potentials to enhance their ties in all fields, he said, adding that competent Iranian companies have shown their vehement interest to participate in implementing power plant, road construction, housing and urban development projects in Tajikistan.
Iran is ready to set up joint science and technology park, develop knowledge-based firms and digitization of economy in the Republic of Tajikistan, Madanizadeh added.
The International Investment Forum, Dushanbe Invest-2025, kicked off in Tajikistan’s capital, bringing together over a thousand participants from dozens of countries to explore opportunities in green investments, sustainable development, and the digital transformation of the national economy.
