Travel Chaos Grows as Iran War Disrupts Flights

Global air travel continues to face major disruptions as the US-Israel war involving Iran forces the closure of key Middle Eastern hubs, including Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi, leaving many passengers unable to reach their destinations.

Several major international airlines have cancelled flights or significantly reduced their schedules, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.

Air Canada

The carrier has suspended all flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai until September 7.

Air France/KLM

Air France has cancelled flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut until April 4, and to Dubai and Riyadh until March 31, including an April 1 departure from Dubai.
KLM has suspended flights to Tel Aviv, Riyadh, Dammam, and Dubai until May 17.

Delta Air Lines

The airline has cancelled its New York-Tel Aviv route and postponed the resumption of its Atlanta-Tel Aviv service until September 5. The planned launch of its Boston-Tel Aviv route has also been delayed indefinitely.

El Al Israel Airlines

The airline said flights scheduled to depart Israel through April 11, including return journeys, have been cancelled. A limited number of flights to key destinations are still operating.

Emirates

The UAE carrier is operating a reduced schedule following the partial reopening of regional airspace.

Lufthansa Group

Lufthansa and its subsidiaries-Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, and Edelweiss-have suspended flights to Dubai and Tel Aviv until May 31. Flights to Abu Dhabi, Amman, Beirut, Dammam, Riyadh, Erbil, Muscat, and Tehran are suspended until October 24. These measures also apply to Lufthansa Cargo, except for Tel Aviv, where cargo suspensions last until April 30.

Qatar Airways

The airline is gradually increasing flights to and from Doha, adding frequencies to more than 90 destinations.

Turkish Airlines

The carrier has cancelled most flights to the Middle East until the end of March.
