Azerbaijan, Georgia Seek to Expand Cooperation in Judicial Sector

An Azerbaijani delegation, led by Inam Karimov, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council, met with Nino Kadagidze, Chairman of the Georgian Supreme Court and High Council of Justice, in Tbilisi on Monday.
Nino Kadagidze emphasized the successful development of friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries across various fields. She noted that the visit would further enhance cooperation in the judicial and legal sectors, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Azerbaijani Supreme Court.
Both sides underlined the significant importance of mutual cooperation in enhancing the judicial systems of both countries.
Inam Karimov highlighted that the high level of intergovernmental relations provides ample opportunities for advancing ties in judicial and legal areas. He stressed the significance of mutual experience exchange and close collaboration to improve the efficiency of justice in both countries.
The meeting included a detailed presentation on the activities of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan and ongoing judicial and legal reforms. Both sides also discussed the prospects for bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
Later, the Azerbaijani delegation met with local judges at the High Council of Justice of Georgia.
Discussions focused on the complete digitalization of judicial activities, including the integration of artificial intelligence as a target goal. The importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in this area was particularly emphasized.
