Turkmenistan, Iran Explore Prospects for Deepening Trade and Economic Partnership

The Turkmen and Iranian diplomats discussed the practical implementation of the agreements reached at previous high-level ECO events.

During the 28th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), held in Mashhad, Iran, Turkmenistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

The two diplomats discussed the practical implementation of agreements made at previous high-level ECO events, The Caspian Post reports citing Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry.

They explored opportunities to deepen cooperation in trade, economics, fuel and energy, industrial sectors, as well as transport and logistics.

Additionally, the officials exchanged views on enhancing interregional contacts and cultural exchanges, and discussed pressing regional and international issues.
