The music and film festival "Future Now – Central Asia" takes place in Berlin from November 12 to 20, 2024. The festival is organized by Dr. Gabriele Minz GmbH, a company specializing in international cultural projects, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

The event aims to acquaint the German public with the current social and cultural situation and future plans in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, countries with which Germany has maintained diplomatic relations for thirty years. Through creative exchanges, young musicians and filmmakers from Central Asian countries will present the cultures and traditions of their nations and engage in dialogue with young German cultural figures.

At the festival's opening concert on November 12 at the Berlin Philharmonic, six trios—one from each Central Asian country and one from Germany—performed works reflecting nature in their national musical traditions and inspired by various elements of nature. Turkmenistan was represented by students from the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva: S. Ataniyazov, K. Byashimov and A. Babaguliyev, who performed the melody "Türkmenistanyň tebigaty" (Nature of Turkmenistan) on stringed instruments. The concert organizers highlighted that these young musicians are winners of national and international chamber music competitions.

Five films created in various genres by young filmmakers from Central Asian countries are scheduled to be screened as part of the "Future Now – Central Asia" festival. The screening and discussion of the Turkmen feature film "Istärin" by director Arslan Eyeberdiev, which immerses viewers in the poetic and spiritual world of the great classic Magtymguly Fragi, will take place on the evening of November 14.
