A group of officers from the Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan visited the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Culture Center in Tashkent, The Caspian Post reports via the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan.
At the event, held on the initiative of the military attaché office of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan, the bust of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, erected in the center, was visited, and his blessed memory was honored.
Then the officers were presented with a book about Isgandar Aznaurov, the National Hero of Azerbaijan born in Uzbekistan.
As part of the event, the guests got acquainted with the Heydar Aliyev Museum, the Museum of the History of Azerbaijani Statehood and the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Friendship Museum located within the center.
After getting acquainted with the center, the guests were shown a short film about the historical, cultural, and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, as well as about the 44-day Patriotic War.
In the end, a concert program that included Azerbaijani national dances was presented.
