Azerbaijan exported 524,337.96 tons of crude oil to India in January-August this year, according to the State Customs Committee (SCC).
The figure represents a 300.1-fold increase, or an additional 522,590.89 tons, compared with the same period last year, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.
In value terms, Azerbaijan’s crude oil exports to India reached $399.207 million, up 510.8-fold, or by $522.591 million, year on year.
Crude oil exports to India accounted for 3.57% of Azerbaijan’s total crude oil exports during the reporting period.
According to data on crude oil exports for which customs clearance procedures had been completed, Azerbaijan exported a total of 14,677,951.6 tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous minerals in January-August. The total value of these exports amounted to $9.282 billion.
