Global oil prices continued to rise during Friday trading, reaching as high as $117.30 per barrel after earlier surpassing their highest levels in more than four years.
Brent crude, the international benchmark, gained around 4% amid renewed fears that the US-Israeli war against Iran could soon resume, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.
US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) reached $103 per barrel, its highest level in five weeks.
Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia have also contributed to the rise in oil prices.
