Oil Prices Drop After Trump Rules Out Pre-Election Attack on Iran

Oil prices have declined after US President Donald Trump said he would not launch an attack on Iran before the US midterm elections in November.

Brent crude futures fell by around $1.10, or 1.1%, to $103.18 per barrel by 13:30 GMT, The Caspian Post reports, citing Reuters.

Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures dropped $0.49, or 0.5%, to $91.00 per barrel.

The decline followed significant gains in oil prices during Thursday’s trading session.
