Azerbaijan Sends Helicopter to Fight Forest Fire in Aghdara

A helicopter has been sent to assist in battling a forest fire in Azerbaijan's Aghdara district.

The blaze broke out overnight near the village of Sugovushan and quickly spread across the mountainous forest area, The Caspian Post reports citing local media.

In response, a helicopter from the Aviation Unit, along with personnel from the State Fire Protection Service and the Special Risk Rescue Service, were deployed to the scene.

Efforts to contain and extinguish the fire are currently underway.
