Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has said that Georgia remains hopeful that its strategic partnership with the US will be restored, with the two sides continuing diplomatic communication.

Kobakhidze said the Georgian government is maintaining contacts with its American counterparts and is optimistic about the future of bilateral relations, TASS reports.

"We remain optimistic that the strategic partnership between Georgia and the United States will be restored. We maintain communication with our American partners. We hope to see reciprocal steps that will ultimately ensure the restoration of the strategic partnership. This is our goal, and we are patiently waiting for reciprocal steps from the American side," Kobakhidze said.
