A young couple in their early 20s was found dead in a rented apartment in the Varketili on the outskirts of Tbilisi, Georgia.

The incident reportedly occurred the previous day. Initial speculation among acquaintances suggested a possible gas leak, but this version was later dismissed by Tbilisi Energy, The Caspian Post reports via Georgian media.

In a statement, the company said that specialists found no signs of carbon monoxide (CO) or gas leakage, indicating that the incident is not related to gas.

An investigation was launched under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which covers cases of incitement to suicide.
