The US military has redirected 18 commercial vessels as part of its ongoing blockade operations against Iran, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).

In a post on X, CENTCOM said its forces have also disabled two ships and boarded two others to verify that they were complying with the blockade measures, The Caspian Post reports.

The command added that more than 20 warships are currently deployed across the Middle East to enforce what Washington has described as a “steel wall” around Iranian waters.
