Iran’s nationwide internet disruption has entered its third consecutive day, with connectivity levels plunging to near-total blackout.

The watchdog said access to online services across Iran has dropped dramatically, leaving millions unable to communicate freely or reach relatives abroad, The Caspian Post reports via Iranian media.

London-based monitoring group NetBlocks noted in a statement posted on X that internet shutdowns have frequently been imposed by Iranian authorities during periods of unrest. The current disruption has significantly restricted digital services, social media access, and independent information flow.

The organization also recalled a previous major disruption in January that lasted several weeks. That blackout, it said, coincided with what it described as serious human rights violations being concealed from public view.
