Iranian authorities have abruptly cancelled a planned farewell ceremony for Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in a joint U.S.-Israeli airstrike on February 28.
The ceremony had been scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. (GMT+3:30) at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran, The Caspian Post reports via Iranian media.
Officials stated that updated details regarding the timing and arrangements for the memorial will be announced in the near future. No official explanation was immediately provided for the sudden cancellation.
