The Iranian Revolutionary Guard detained four individuals allegedly connected to Mossad, according to a report on Thursday by the official Iranian news agency IRNA on its Arabic-language website.

The agency stated that "the detainees provided Mossad intelligence officers with photos and locations of some sensitive and important military and security sites online during the third imposed war," which began with US-Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic on February 28, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.

The four suspects were arrested in Gilan province, which borders the Caspian Sea, according to IRNA, which did not specify the date of their arrest.

Iran regularly announces arrests and executions of individuals accused of espionage.

Iran and the United States agreed to a two-week ceasefire on April 8, and President Donald Trump has raised the possibility of resuming peace talks this week in Pakistan after the first round failed last weekend.
