A high-ranking Iranian parliamentary official announced on Thursday that Tehran has received its first revenue from tolls imposed on the strategic Strait of Hormuz amid its conflict with the United States and Israel.
"The first revenue received from the Strait of Hormuz tolls was deposited into the Central Bank account," Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hamidreza Hajibabaei said, according to Tasnim news agency, The Caspian Post reports.
Other Iranian media carried the same statement, without elaborating.
