Ten Iranian fishermen who had been detained in the United Arab Emirates for several months have been released and allowed to return home, Iran’s Consulate in Dubai confirmed.

The fishermen were detained by the UAE Coast Guard in March and April after disruptions to GPS and vessel-tracking systems caused their boats to stray into Emirati waters, The Caspian Post reports, citing Press TV.

The UAE previously released 55 detained Iranian fishermen in mid-July.

According to Press TV, GPS jamming linked to the US-Israeli war on Iran has resulted in many Iranian fishermen accidentally entering Emirati waters.
