Kazakhstan sees substantial opportunities for cooperation with Belarus across various sectors, stated Timur Zhaksylykov, Kazakhstan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus, during a press conference in Minsk on 20 December, The Caspian Post reports citing BelTA.
“Industrial cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan is certainly very important, but the two countries need to explore cooperation opportunities in other sectors as well. Cooperation in information technology, logistics and transport, energy, tourism, as well as education and science holds a lot of promise and offers unique opportunities,” the diplomat said.
He went on saying: “Agriculture is undoubtedly one of the most important and mutually beneficial avenues of cooperation. In addition to the production of agricultural machinery, there are many other promising projects.”
The ambassador mentioned joint projects related to deep processing of agricultural products, the creation of joint agro-industrial clusters, the exchange of best practices in organic farming and the introduction of innovative technologies in agriculture. In addition, according to him, there is potential for building cooperation in animal husbandry, especially in animal breeding and dairy production.
