Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan to Cooperate on Urban Development Projects

Kazakhstan's Astana city and Azerbaijan's Baku city are preparing to deepen cooperation in urban development, focusing on city planning, façade renovation, and improving the quality of urban living spaces.

The two capitals are expected to sign a memorandum of cooperation aimed at advancing modern urbanism and creating more comfortable and sustainable city environments, The Caspian Post reports via Report.

Deputy Director of the Astana Center of Urbanism Daniyar Chindaliyev said that Astana Mayor Zhenis Kassymbek has arrived in Baku to take part in the global forum.

He noted that meetings are scheduled with the executive authorities of Baku, where discussions will focus on urban planning cooperation and façade renovation projects.

“We are very interested in this partnership,” he said, highlighting the growing interest in exchanging urban development experience between the two rapidly developing capitals.
