A deadly crash on the Astana-Yereimentau-Shiderty highway has claimed one life and left three others injured in Kazakhstan.
The accident occurred at the 127th kilometer of the road, where an Audi passenger car collided with a Hovos truck, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Regional police said the Audi’s driver died at the scene, while three passengers suffered injuries of varying severity and were rushed to hospital.
Law enforcement authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash. A final procedural decision will be made once the inquiry is complete.
Police are urging drivers to strictly observe speed limits, especially on busy highway sections, and to regularly check the technical condition of their vehicles to prevent similar tragedies.
