The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan has finalized the number of citizens eligible to participate in the upcoming referendum on amendments to the Constitution.
Based on data provided by regional akimats and the administrations of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent, a total of 12,461,796 voters have been included on the official lists, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
Authorities plan to print 12,586,413 ballots, which is 1% more than the total number of registered voters.
The ballot will include the following question:
“Do you accept the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the draft of which was published in the media on February 12, 2026?”
Voters will be given two response options:
To cast their vote, citizens must place any mark in the empty box next to their chosen answer.
The design of the ballot paper has also been presented.
