Kazakh President Offers Condolences to Swiss Counterpart

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended his deepest condolences to his Swiss counterpart Guy Parmelin over the tragic fire at the Crans-Montana ski resort, which resulted in numerous casualties.

Tokayev offered words of support to the families of the victims and those injured, expressing solidarity with the people of Switzerland in this moment of grief, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

An explosion at a Swiss ski resort left dozens dead and around 100 others injured. Those injured in the blast and subsequent fire suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospitals in Sion, capital of Valais canton, as well as in other cities, Valais Canton Police Chief Frederic Giesler said at a press conference.
