Kazakh Rescuers Find Lost Tourist High in Mountains at 4,300 Meters

A tourist who went missing during an ascent of Satpayev Peak at an altitude of 4,300 meters has been found after a nighttime rescue operation in Karasai District, Kazakhstan.

The man lost contact while remaining in the high-mountain zone without clear orientation, prompting an urgent search mission, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Rescuers from the Republican emergency service “Barys” and emergency teams from Almaty carried out the overnight operation, navigating dangerous terrain and darkness. They eventually located the tourist near the “Kacheli” area below Peak Sovetov.

Officials said his condition was satisfactory and he did not require medical assistance. He was safely evacuated from the mountain and escorted to a secure location.
