Kazakh Women Boxers Storm Into Quarterfinals at 2025 World Championships

Kazakh female boxers Karina Ibragimova and Natalya Bogdanova have secured their places in the quarterfinals of the 2025 World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.

In the women’s 57 kg category, Ibragimova earned a decisive win over Great Britain’s Elise Glynn by unanimous decision, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

In the 70 kg division, Bogdanova showcased her dominance with a commanding 5:0 victory against India’s Sanamacha Chanu Thokchom in the Round of 16.

The Championships, taking place at the Liverpool Arena from September 4 to 14, 2025, have already highlighted Kazakhstan’s strong start. Earlier, Torekhan Sabyrkhan, Viktoriya Grafeyeva, and Biibars Zhexen also recorded victories, boosting the nation’s medal hopes.
