Kazakhstan Freezes Gasoline and Diesel Prices Amid Inflation Concerns

Kazakhstan’s government has announced a moratorium on any price increases for AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel until inflation stabilizes, a decision aimed at protecting consumers amid economic uncertainty.

The move was confirmed following a government meeting, attended by senior officials and heads of key state agencies. The session centered on advancing the president’s directive to better organize and manage the country’s ongoing economic reform program, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

In addition to freezing fuel prices, the government also suspended any increases in utility tariffs for all consumer categories, with the freeze set to remain in place until the end of the first quarter of 2026.
