Kazakhstan Launches Nationwide Troop Deployment for Military Drills

Kazakhstan has started deploying troops and military equipment across the country in preparation for the large-scale Batyl Toitarys - 2026 ("Decisive Repulse") military exercise, the Ministry of Defence announced on August 3.

The exercise will take place at training grounds across the country and is intended to assess the readiness of Kazakhstan's Armed Forces to perform missions under modern operational conditions, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

As part of the drills, military personnel will also train in coordination between various branches and services of the armed forces.

According to the ministry, the deployment of troops and military equipment is being conducted through a combination of road convoys, railway transport and aircraft.
