Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye to Hold Joint Eternity-2026 Military Drills

Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye are preparing to conduct the Eternity-2026 joint command-and-staff military exercises later this year, as defense officials from the three countries met to finalize planning for the multinational drills.

The planning conference was held under the framework of the trilateral military cooperation plan between the defense ministries of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, The Caspian Post reports via Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense.

The exercises are scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan in November and will bring together military personnel from all three countries.

In addition to the armed forces, representatives from Azerbaijan's State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Objects and Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) will also participate.

The exercise scenario will focus on protecting and defending strategic infrastructure and critical transport and communication routes that pass through the territories of the participating countries.

During the planning conference, participants discussed the exercise's objectives, the structure of the joint headquarters, tactical field scenarios, and other organizational issues ahead of the multinational drills.

The Eternity exercises are part of the long-standing defense cooperation among Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye and are aimed at strengthening coordination in the protection of strategic regional infrastructure and transport corridors.
